The Jawahar Kala Kendra in Jaipur is hosting the first Indian Ceramics Triennale which will open on the 31st of August 2018. Aptly titled Breaking Ground, we hope that that is exactly what this artist-led initiative will do.
Simultaneously, a group of ceramic artists have been brought together to showcase their work in 5 shows that will take place across Jaipur. Each show has been curated around a theme and expores a particular aspect of ceramics. This is a great time for collectors, architects, interior designers, students and enthusiasts to experience contemporary ceramic art from all across India in one city.
I am a part of the show titled H2O, hosted by the Ayush Kasliwal Furniture Design studio in Jaipur. The show has been curated by Shayonti Salvi and focuses on the theme of water. It opened earlier this month and will be on till October 2018.
A few images of my work for the show:
There was a wonderful spirit and vibe in the city of Jaipur as it played host to so many ceramic shows, talks, discussions and evenings. Looking forward to the next one!
